I looked up some more information about Generation Y and found some interesting traits that are connected to the definition.
Characteristics of the typical person in the Y Generation are:
tech-savvy. family centric. high expectations. team player. attention craving.

I believe these characteristics fit my generation very well.
People in this generation practically rely on technology, look for balance between work and life, and set high expectations and goals. We are also a generation that wants to be involved with each other, but we also crave attention. Generation Y is definitely a generation that tends to seek reassurance and longs for praise.

There is one characteristic associated with this generation that I do not completely agree with: laziness. Yes, there are some young people who are lazy. There are people who do not know anything about having a job or living in the real world. However, at the same time, I believe there are many people in this generation who are hard workers and who strive to be successful.

I think I fit the description of Generation Y in some ways.
I love to communicate with someone face to face, however I am a big texter and into online social networking.
Having a balance between work and a social life is very important to me. I am a very social person and a huge team player. I love my friends and family, and I love being with them.
I also set very high expectations for myself. I am a goal-setter and am determined to accomplish what I set out to do.
The one trait that I would not use to describe myself is lazy. I am a very busy person who juggles school, work, church, and an attempt of a social life.

Overall, I agree with the descriptions of Generation Y. This generation definitely lives up to the labels society associates with us.
